Telecom Advisory Services shares a report for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), entitled ''Telecommunications Industry in the Post-COVID-19 World. Report of the VII ITU Economic Experts Roundtable''. During the VIth session of the Economic Experts Roundtable, it was warned that the persistent digital divide is acting as a major barrier preventing underserved populations from maintaining a semblance of 'life as normal' under the pandemic. In this session, specific solutions were discussed to deliver universal connectivity. The approaches under consideration include innovative business and operating models as well as financial models and instruments that can be used to mobilize development financial institutions, institutional investors, private equity, and the public market, in order to fund the required infrastructure.
